Yuga Labs, the creator behind the Bored APE Yacht Club NFT collection, has transferred the intellectual property rights of CryptoPunks to the Infinite Node Foundation (NODE) for $20 million. The non-profit organization, dedicated to advancing digital art, also received a $25 million endowment—reportedly surpassing the cumulative digital art funding of major U.S. cultural institutions.

Launched in 2017 by Larva Labs, CryptoPunks is credited with igniting the modern NFT movement, amassing $3.07 billion in lifetime sales. The acquisition underscores the growing institutional recognition of blockchain-based art as a cultural and financial asset.
